The Korzus laboratory is investigating the brain circuit dynamics supporting cognition. Specifically, we are interested in the circuit-level mechanism by which the medial prefrontal cortex supports fear discrimination learning to differentiate between safety and danger and the mechanism by which maladaptations in prefrontal circuits lead to neuropsychiatric vulnerability.
